Namco's Xenosaga Episode II officially hits Japanese shelves today (or actually a little while ago, give the vagaries of the International Date Line), and in commemoration of the event, Namco has updated its online archive of Japanese TV spots promoting Monolith Soft's epic PlayStation 2 RPG. They're available now at the official Xenosaga website, in 15- and 30-second versions.

If you can't parse the Japanese, here's the gist of the conversation going on in both clips. The cute girl wants to put the mack on the young Xenosaga fan on June 24 -- in the first spot, for instance, she says she'll kiss him on that date. Sadly, he's not into it, because of course he'll be playing Episode II all day.

We'll leave it up to you to decide whether it's a simple gag or a slightly slyer comment on the social proclivities of the average Japanese RPG fiend, and simply promise a full update on Episode II once we snag the finished version shortly.
